Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University (SRK University) collects your information mainly so we can answer your admission enquiry, process your application, run your programme and meet the reporting duties that come with being a university in Madhya Pradesh. We do not sell your data. We share it only with regulators, examination and affiliating bodies, payment processors and the vendors who run our systems. You can ask us what we hold, correct it, withdraw consent for marketing, or complain to our Grievance Officer — details in Section 12.
1. Who we are
If you have filled in an admission enquiry, applied for a programme, sat a counselling round, registered for an event or simply browsed our course pages, you have shared some information with us. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what we collect, why we need it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “the University” mean Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan University, a private university located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, offering programmes in medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and allied health education. “You” means anyone who uses www.srku.edu.in — prospective students, current students, parents and guardians, alumni, job applicants and general visitors.
Because SRK University runs clinical and health science programmes, some of our processes involve medical fitness records, immunisation status and hospital posting details. We treat that category of information with extra care, and we explain it separately in Section 4.
This policy sits alongside our Terms & Conditions. Together they form the agreement under which you use this website. If you disagree with anything here, please do not submit your details through our forms — you are welcome to call or visit the campus instead.
There are three ways information about you reaches us.
This is the bulk of it. When you fill an admission enquiry form, submit an application, apply for a hostel seat, pay a fee online, register for an event or apply for a job, you typically give us your name, mobile number, email address, city and state, the programme you are interested in, your date of birth, your previous academic qualifications and marks, and identity or category documents where a programme or a scholarship requires them.
If you pay online, the payment itself is handled by a licensed payment gateway. We see the transaction reference and status; we do not store your full card number, CVV or UPI PIN on our servers.
Like every website, ours records some technical detail when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you here. We use this in aggregate — to see which programme pages are actually useful and where the site is slow — not to identify you personally.
Sometimes information reaches us from elsewhere: from NEET / NTA score verification, state counselling bodies such as the Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, and the affiliating health sciences university from education portals and lead platforms where you submitted an enquiry about us; and from previous institutions during document verification. Where that happens, we use it only for the admission or verification purpose it was sent for.
We do not ask website visitors for passwords to other services, and we will never ask for your bank OTP, UPI PIN or card CVV by phone, email or WhatsApp. If someone claiming to be from SRK University asks for these, it is fraud — please report it to us at grievance@srku.edu.in srkumedia@gmail.com
Every piece of data we hold should trace back to a clear reason. Ours are:
We do not use your admission data to build advertising profiles, and we do not pass it to coaching centres, consultancies or unrelated businesses.
Some of what we hold is more sensitive than a name and a phone number, and we treat it accordingly.
Because SRK University teaches medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy and allied health education, our admission and academic processes involve health information — medical fitness certificates, immunisation and vaccination status, disability or accessibility requirements you tell us about so we can support you, and clinical or hospital posting records for students on health science programmes.
Three rules govern this category. First, we collect it only where a programme, a regulator or a hospital placement genuinely requires it. Second, access is restricted to the specific staff who need it to do their job — admissions clearance, the department office, the placement or hospital coordinator. Third, we do not use it for marketing, ever, and we do not disclose it to anyone outside the university except where a statutory council, an affiliating body or a court requires it.
We also hold caste, category and income details where you claim a reservation, scholarship or fee concession. That information is used to process the claim and to report to the awarding authority — nothing else.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your personal data either with your consent or for a legitimate use the Act recognises — such as complying with a legal obligation or performing a function entrusted to us by law.
When you tick the consent box on a form, you are agreeing to that specific use, described next to the box. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it is meant to be as easy as giving it: reply STOP to a message, click unsubscribe in an email, or write to srkumedia@gmail.com
Two honest caveats. Withdrawing consent stops future processing; it does not undo processing that was already lawful. And if you withdraw consent for data we need to run your admission or your programme, we may not be able to continue offering you that service — we will tell you clearly if that is the case rather than quietly dropping your application.
We share only where there is a reason to. Specifically:
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent, trade or otherwise commercially exchange student, applicant or parent contact details with advertisers, data brokers, coaching institutes or admission consultancies.
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Ours fall into a few groups: essential cookies that keep the site working and forms secure; preference cookies that remember settings like your language choice; and analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people read and where they drop off.
Where we run advertising or remarketing tags, we will disclose them in the cookie banner and you can decline them without losing access to the site.You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop forms and logins from working properly.
On Do Not Track: browser DNT signals are not supported consistently across the industry and there is no agreed standard for honouring them. Rather than make a promise we cannot verify, we ask you to use our cookie controls and your browser’s own privacy settings, which we do respect.
Different records have different lifespans.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards: HTTPS encryption on our website and forms, role-based access so staff see only what their job requires, password protection on student and staff systems, regular backups, and vendor agreements that require confidentiality.
We will be straight with you: no system connected to the internet is completely secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act, 2023.
You can help by keeping your student portal password private, not sharing OTPs, and reporting anything that looks like a fake SRK University website, page or agent to grievance@srku.edu.in srkumedia@gmail.com

To exercise any of these, email srkumedia@gmail.com from your registered address, telling us what you want and enough detail for us to find your record. We may ask you to verify your identity first — that protects you as much as us. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Many people who enquire with us are school students who have not yet turned 18. We are not going to pretend otherwise with a blanket “this site is not for under-18s” line, because that would be untrue for a university admissions website.
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, anyone under 18 is a child, and processing a child’s personal data requires verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. Where an applicant is under 18, we seek parent or guardian consent as part of the admission process and expect the guardian’s details on the application form.
We do not carry out tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children, and we do not run any processing likely to have a detrimental effect on a child’s wellbeing.
Parents and guardians: if you believe your child has shared information with us and you would like it removed, write to grievance@srku.edu.in and we will act on it.
If something about the way we handle your data concerns you, raise it with us first — most issues are resolved quickly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Our site links out to places like regulator websites, scholarship portals, examination bodies and payment gateways. Once you click through, you are on their website and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over how they handle your data, so it is worth reading their policy before you submit anything.
SRK University is based in India and our systems are operated from India. If you are contacting us from another country — as an NRI applicant, an international student or an academic partner — your information will be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection law may differ from your own.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also hold rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to srkumedia@gmail.com and we will handle your request under that framework as well.
Law changes, systems change, and this policy will change with them. When it does, we update the “last reviewed” date at the top of this page and publish the revised version here. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will make more of an effort than a silent edit — expect a notice on the site or an email to your registered address.

General admission questions are better directed to our Admissions 2026 team or through the Contact SRK University page.
No. SRK University does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers or coaching institutes. We share it only where it is genuinely needed — with regulators, affiliating and examination bodies, payment processors and the service providers who run our systems — and only to the extent required. Section 6 lists every category of recipient.
Write to our Grievance Officer at srkumedia@gmail.com from the email address you originally used, stating what you want erased. We will verify who you are and act within a reasonable period. Note that academic records, examination results and admission documents usually cannot be deleted, because we are required by regulators and record-retention rules to keep them. Section 8 explains what stays and why.
When you submit an admission enquiry you are asking us to contact you, so our counselling team will call, message or email you about the programme you enquired about. If you no longer want those calls, reply STOP to any message, use the unsubscribe link in our emails, or write to srkumedia@gmail.com and we will close the enquiry.
Yes. Medical fitness certificates, immunisation records and clinical posting details are health information and we treat them as a sensitive category. Access is restricted to the staff who need it for admission clearance, hospital postings and statutory reporting. Section 4 sets this out in full.
Where a programme is filled through centralised counselling, we must exchange candidate details with the counselling authority and the affiliating university to confirm allotment, verify documents and report admissions. Degree records, transcripts, enrolment numbers and examination results are permanent institutional records. We keep them so we can issue duplicate certificates, verify your degree to employers who ask with your consent, and meet regulatory audit requirements. Marketing contact, by contrast, stops the moment you ask.
